A-Wing of the Alliance

In the Star Wars universe, the A-Wing is revered as one of the fastest starfighters in existence, and serves as the Rebel Alliance's primary counter to the agile TIE Interceptor. Although it doesn't possess the firepower of the X or Y-Wing, it does sport two super powerful engines, twin laser cannons, and a concussion missile launcher, making it ideal for hit-and-run tactics. However, what it has in speed, it lacks in defense, and while it is the fastest ship in the Alliance's armada, it is also one of the flimsiest. From this, came the motto "Speed is Life", which is an undisputed law for A-Wing pilots.

Well, now that I've provided some background info, I'll briefly talk about the artwork. This was done in Flash 8. I'm not about to lie and tell you guys that I drew this from memory. The basic shape of the ship was traced, but the coloring and special effects were done by me. I had a lot of fun working on this, and perhaps I'll start on an Imperial craft soon.
